*So I know once again its been quite a while since we’ve put up a new post, but life has just gotten the best of us. Our apologies to our followers…
But during our absence from the blog, we have been very busy bees, working with the lovely people at Art in the Age, The Philadelphia Science Festival and The Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild on an educational art project. Our good friend, Dan Abraham, of Art in the Age, approached us with the project a few weeks earlier, each artist was given a different type of bee box to paint whatever they would like. The idea was to bring a little light onto the good work of the Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild and to educate people on the importance of bees. Nick and I got to work on the box together, which was an interesting and new process for us. I painted the sky and the guy mostly, and Nick painted the land and the bees.
We got a chance to show our box at The Philadelphia Science Festival on Logan Circle, which was a big hit. I think our beard of bees got a few people talking and lots of laughs ^_^.
And last Thursday, Art in the Age had a lovely artists reception for us, in their store in old city. Below are some pictures from the event…

It was a really great night, everyone did a wonderful job. Thanks again to Art in the Age and the Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild!
